A Way Forward is an independent pilot directory. Being listed does not mean your organization has endorsed this website. We direct visitors to your published information and encourage them to confirm services before traveling.

What we need to verify before launch

• Current phone numbers and public addresses, including whether a location accepts walk-ins.
• Services offered, eligibility rules, required documents and referral pathways.
• Regular hours and any temporary changes, including storms.
• Whether the listing should appear at all, and who can approve ongoing updates.

Updating the directory

The downloadable project includes an editable CSV and JSON file. A staffed corrections contact and recurring verification schedule need to be established before a public launch. This prototype does not collect reports or send messages to providers.

Protecting visitors

Do not list confidential safety-house addresses. Never claim that shelter beds or funding are available without a verified real-time feed. The directory should remain free to use, and contact information must not be sold or used for targeting.
